Another busy day yesterday.  12 visitors brought our total over 400 since March 1.  Every day more local folk are stopping in and discovering how we are representing their town and area.

My granddaughter Maddison  and I were working on a special project yesterday afternoon d so kept the doors open longer.  During the time the center would normally have been closed a couple from Minnesota who had been 'wintering' in Florida stopped in.  They still had a week before needing to be in Minnesota so wanted information on MO state parks with camping facilities.  We were able to send them on their way with a MO state map and information and locations of several areas they could reach 'before dark.'  These kinds of visits always make my day.  Helping someone and watching them leave happy is our daily goal.

When you see me wearing me picking up trash and cigarette butts from the TIC and McDonald's area don't think I'm a 'bag lady.'  Having been at the center starting four years now, I believe the area is as much my duty to keep clean as the surrounding businesses.  I see our town through visitors eyes and don't want them thinking 'what a trashy place.'  I am hoping to inspire others to be aware of and help keep our city clean.

Have a good day.  See you tomorrow.
